Design Process

We approach all our projects with two key principles in mind:
Teamwork, and Efficient Project Management.

Team Work

During a project, we make every effort to immerse ourselves in your industry and learn the intricacies of your business. But we can never hope to know your business as well as you do. So, only by including you prominently in the creative process can we ensure the right approach to addressing your communication needs.

Face-to-face intake meetings, facility tours, stakeholder interviews, project launch questionnaires, thorough review sessions, and multiple initial concepts are all key methods we use to actively include our clients in successful design outcomes. The most important part of the process is always getting it right, and you’re an essential part of that.

Project Management

Our estimates clearly define the various stages we anticipate for each project, the various costs associated with that stage, as well as what will be expected of all parties along the way. This provides greater transparency for the process and eliminates any end-of-the-job surprises. We know the importance of strong and efficient project management, and we value your need to maintain a strong bottom line.

Logo Design Process

PHASE 1: DISCOVERY / INFORMATION GATHERING

• Logo questionnaire

• Interview key stakeholders

• Research

• Develop a list of brand attributes

        - List of 10 nouns that pertain to the brand

        - List of 10 adjectives that pertain to the brand (ie: Traditional, Approachable, etc.)

• Creative Brief: Describe the project

PHASE 2: DESIGN

Develop creative based on discovery

PHASE 3: PRESENTATION

Presentation of approximately 10-12 conceptual logo directions for Client review. To reduce   the possibility that individual color preferences may overshadow the basic merits of any   given logo option, these conceptual directions will be presented in black and white. From
this initial design presentation, a selection of 1-3 promising designs will be selected by   Client for refinement according to feed back.

PHASE 4: REFINEMENT

We will make a second presentation of the 1-3 refined concepts for Client review. This   presentation will be made with suggested color pallets, typography, and demonstrate how   the brand family might work. Generally at this time, a final design direction will be selected   and any additional requests for refinement will be addressed.

Usually 2-3 additional rounds of refinement take place

PHASE 5: SIGN-OFF

Approval of final logo

PHASE 6: DELIVERY

Upon final design approval, we will prepare an electronic archive of logo files for your use, including a variety of file types, sizes and color configurations suitable for virtually all future reproduction needs. Deliverables include logo, color palette, and typography.
